Also on this week is a production of 'Dora' by Shane Daly Hughes, winner of the judges choice award at our Theatre Festival one act series, it runs from 7th - 9th July at 8pm in the BOI Theatre full details here.
I would like to invite any of you in Galway for the summer to join us for the launch of the NUIG Summer Festival on July 14th on the balcony in Áras na Mac Léinn at 5.30pm. The festival includes theatre: 'The Breakfast Club' (19th - 22nd) and a double bill ‘Do I Look Fat in these Fig Leaves’ ‘It Won’t be Great when I’m not Here’ (14th - 17th)
music: ConTempo Quartet (19th) and Galway Sinfonietta (22nd) plus Art Installation 'Altered Frequency' based on 6 radio plays and Art Exhibitions in Áras na Mac Léinn full programme here.
Bookings are now being take for the Childrens Multi Media Summer Camp for 9-16 year olds. It runs from July 19th - 23rd 10am - 5pm and will include creating your own radio show and newspaper attending a concert and reviewing it, plus creative writing, photography, mask making, cartoon drawing, juggling, fansci gaming and drama games. Price €120 or €100 for NUIG staff and students and siblings, sign up at the SocsBox.
Also staring next week is 'How to make a great YouTube Movie': Computer Suite From scripting to filming and editing to final masterpiece learn it all. starting July 15st for 4 weeks (adm. free) Thursday 7pm – 9pm if interested sign up at the SocBox.
The SocsBox is open Monday - Friday 10am - 6pm.
