Dramsoc is proud to announce that the ISDA's are coming to Galway!!

The Irish Student Drama Awards have been run annually for the last 61 years, most recently last year in Trinity College Dublin. Involving approximately 300 students from across the country, each of the major third-level institutions will send at least one production to be performed. Next year the festival will take place in early March.

The Festival itself features a competitive component which will comprise 22 shows across the week along with a more light-hearted Fringe Festival which will take place over the ISDA week.

Dramsoc is currently planning this event and hopes that anyone with an interest in the Festival will get in contact with Dramsoc on dramsoc@socs.nuigalway.ie or on Facebook under 'NUIG Dramsoc'.

Meanwhile, Dramsoc has just closed play submissions for Semester 2. Semester 1 has so far been a great success with 8 plays being performed including plays by Shakespeare, Conor McPherson, Harold Pinter, Tom Murphy and Sarah Kane.
