After spending a long, hard Socs Day at the desk recruiting new members (950, thank you very much), the members of Comedy Soc went along to the Laughter Lounge as is the norm on a Wednesday night to support one of their own who was returning to stage for the third time! Steve Bennett was back in action alongside Damian Clark (I Dare Ya!), John Donnellan and Gearoid Farrelly (Sarah Silverman Show). Students filled the room, laughing and cheering happily for each performer (though admittedly a little lot louder when one of their own took to the mic). Steve performed well as always, giggles filled the room as he re-enacted forgotten house party memories and the 'First Year Experience' as he so deemed it. Steve will be certainly gracing the good people at the Róisín with his presence again before the end of the year. Everyone was all smiles at the end of the night when Damian Clark finished a fantastic set with an impressive answer to the question he posed at the audience: "Where's the strangest place you've ever woken up?". His answer? A tram floor during the morning rush hour.
A good night was had out by all and we'll be looking to repeat these positive experiences every Wednesday night! So come along to a meeting or night out and maybe you'll find yourselves up on stage...or at the very least on the floor of a rush hour tram!
